Weekend
Met up with Vern over the weekend as she dropped by due to the long weekend from Sg. Had cheese naan at Murni's, told lame jokes, cracked our heads over a couple of IQ questions, and then called it a night.
Then wk got us all playing Texas Hold'Em poker on FB and we all ended up going to bed at 4am =.= So brekkie was postponed to 11am and we went to Pappa Rich for coffee and noodles and supposedly their signature Pappa Bun which.. wasn't available till '5 hours later'. -__-
So as Vern went off to pak toh with the bf I accompanied Rin to shop at Uptown. She got herself some shoes and tops while I sit and drool all over the carpet. XD Got my eyebrows tidied and then I went off and saw New Moon myself. Brain rotting shows that they make these days, geez.
Before we took off for shopping we hung at Vern's place for a bit to wait for wk and so we played with Winnie! She's about 3 years old now, very furry and stubborn. There's a video of her on fb that I uploaded.
So that's the weekend! Food and friends *grin*.

Saturday~
I met up with my Zat for some mamak @ Murni and catching up...
Seeing that he got so fat he decided not to eat while I chomp away at my roti Hawaii... which has shrunk since the last time I saw it..... and good ol' teh ais...------------------------------------------------------------Then went on to Amcorp Mall with my sis today for a booksale by The Big Bad Wolf, very interesting name for a company. Not sure what company it is for organising booksales but it's great! Small but cheap. Got away with a few novels.
Then later on took my Mummy to Summit for the Popular Bookstore Warehouse Sale. I know, 2 booksales in a day.. I was on cloud nine. Haha... Popular one's much bigger and it was like 80% off almost everything, so the average book costs about RM6 or so. Crazy, right?? Needless to say, Mum went book-happy cos Popular has more Chinese books. Lol.Popular's massive sale..
We spent approx RM200 for about 40 books, perhaps? Heh...
Had roti bakar and soy milk for brekkie with sis at some random kopitiam in Amcorp Mall waiting for Mum.---------------------------------------------------------Met up with Joy and Seow Hui at One Utama on Friday for lunch, it was super-crowded cos it was Hari Raya Haji or something, so parking, needless to say, was insane, and so were the sales. Lunch at Ms Read's.
I went mad seeing all the shoes for sale. And I need a new bag. My tough Mocha bag gave in the day I arrived in JB after almost a year of tormenting it. lol.
Joy and Seow Hui got sunnies at a very discounted price, while I tried on glasses.. age is catching up, I suppose, haha, going blinder by the day so I need new glasses as the old ones aren't as good anymore. Might consider contacts as well for the blinder eye. =.=
Then we had some snacks at Nyonya something... JJ Sandwiches finally closed (no more baked potatoes sob) and was replaced by a Penang-something kiosk which is similar to Nyonya.. Greedy me ate quite a few kuihs...------------------------------------------------------------
Missing the lgz who's at Philip Island with our Lifegroup members... was looking forward to this weekend actually but now that I'm here I'd have to rely on photos and stories from him. :)
Meeting the girlfriends later~

The eating begins
After my breakfast @ the LCCT I left for Singapore. The 55 minute flight was ten times more excruciating than the uncomfortable 8 hour flight to KL. Why, you ask? Because I think it is really, really, really dumb to repeat all possible instructions and announcements in four languages.
They welcomed us in Malay, Cantonese, Manderin and English. They conducted all the safety instructions and demonstrations in all four languages. They had to warn us about electronics, tell us about food, about water, about our flight number, the captain's welcome, when the seatbelt signal goes off and on, and thanking us for flying Air Asia, that we are landing, and the time and local weather.... It took them half an hour to finish speaking before we could fly, and during the time in the air, I only had 15 minutes of peace. That's it. The rest was spent listening to multilingual gibberish.
And crying babies.
Sigh... We're not idiots... Everyone understands English... you don't see them repeating flight instructions in German, French, Japanese and Arabic for international flights, right??? -__-
So I had my first mamak meal yesterday.... roti and teh ais... wahaha... sorry lgz no photo cos I didn't have my phone with me.. and my bro's camera is broken... haha..
Breakfast was 'dai pao'. XD
And today on the way back to PJ we stopped by those toll eateries, grabbed myself another teh ais, and a waffle. Miss those in DJ will grab one soon. And then further down the block there was another waffle stand. So I grabbed another. LOL. But waffle #2 not as nice.
Got home, did some cleaning/tidying, and now I'm just melting in the nice evening heat.... Forgot how hot it was here. xD

I'm suddenly in Msia!
Well, due to bad news in the family, I had to leave Melb for JB at the very last minute, and well, it was an Amazing Race moment, threw some things together, rushed to airport, took the first AirAsia flight out. =.=
I think I did pretty alright in not freaking out or getting on the wrong flight, being all nervous with things not working out initially (a very, very, very, dumb Air Asia operator, no transport but thanks to Susan I got to the airport, airport security giving me a hard time about my luggage being too heavy, blablabla) but I got to KL just fine.
Am a little dazed with this last minute thing, although sitting in the LCCT surrounded by fellow Malaysians and all things familiar it hasn't really hit me yet. I guess it shall soon.
I had a hearty breakfast @ Old Town White Coffee.... Nasi Lemak!!! Next best to Kaya Toast but that wasn't very filling and I didn't have any food in the plan due to a ticket purchased at the last minute and no Malaysian currency in the plane either and I bet the food was crap anyway lol.
Since I've heard contradicting reviews about flying Air Asia X ... (For that cheap price, not bad at all! or Totally not worth it man!!) I finally have the chance to experience it myself. And for the last minute price I pay I can barely say 'not bad at all' considering these few shitty factors:- My seat wouldn't recline. The button doesn't work and all the air stewardess said was 'sorry'.
- My headrest was supposedly adjustable, but it wouldn't stay up at the ideal height for my head, so at its base level, it rested against my shoulders and caused a very bad ache in my shoulders and neck.
- The roof leaked. Yes. I'm serious. Sometime during take off and landing I had a nice long trickle of water dripping on me. That is seriously absurd. Again the air steward apologised with napkins.
It wasn't very comfortable at all, and for a 8 hour flight it was excruciating. The only perk was that I got one of those first-row seats so without any seats in front of me I got plenty of leg room... that's about it. lol.
Oh well~
Hello KL..~~

And my very first original Malaysian sarapan...
