Winter~~!!

Grr.... Firefox kept hanging when I blogged so this is my third attempt. Annoying. I'd use chrome but then it doesn't support some features Xanga has so... Sigh.

Anyways I was being happy about exams being over, yesterday was my last paper so it's holidays for me now..!!

Planned a to-do list for this short hols, besides work, gonna clear out my wardrobe, make space, getting it organised and stuff; plan some short day trips to spend time with Rin and all; go shopping for loved ones back home :)

Today I took LGZ to Mart 130 for brekkie, or, lunch, more like, lol, as he's never been there and with it being so reputated can't hurt to go once more for me =)

------------------------------------------

Had hot pot dinner tonight as Kah Hock's farewell, he's going back Msia tomorrow, sorta graduated, so gonna work now before he could continue with his masters qualification, might see him in the near future in Melb or else it's gonna be Steven's hahaha for cheese naans.

Wil and Sharon heading back next week too, so house's gonna be a little quiet what with Sam moving out too. Sigh~~ gonna be a peaceful winter for me and Rin hahaha..!

------------------------------------------

On a random note:

Attempted to cook pasta from scratch, had a little trouble when it came to the sauce, haha I thought I burnt it when it got all thick and starchy and something was wrong but apparently I had to keep adding milk (Rin came along and saved my dinner) and it turned out fine. Lack of taste due to no herbs at home haha (Rin donated some bay leaves and such) but otherwise I thought it was okay. Lol. Shoulda grocery shopped beforehand but heh, it was edible.

Not very yummy looking, seafood pasta in white sauce.

Random pancake parlour outing, I've a thing for pancakes, yes, so this is an outlet I frequently visit :) pancakes are yummy. xD So if you've any buy 1 free 1 short stack vouchers you don't use, pass them this way, please. Haha.

Meantime looking forward to Adelaide, next week, hopefully it's fun, everyone seemed to have gone before, probably nothing exciting but still, travel is always fun. :)

Happy winter hols!

Long break~

Been busy with exams. And work. And studying. And trying to rest. And watching some shows on and off trying to destress.

Haven't been doing much otherwise, saw terminator 4, nothing much to shout out about besides the fact that Marcus is cooler than Mr Connor himself and there's no sex scene and Ms Williams is super hot but has asian eyes and we looked her up her real name is Moon Bloodgood or something and has Korean blood among other nationalities she inherited. And no sex scene. Boo.

On a shopping spree I bought my laptop a new keyboard (finally!!!) where it has a few melted keys and its arrows aren't working etc and the period key is on its way out. Now it's brand new, feeling great, and I feel happy typing too! xD uber lame comment but I've been 'bragging' about this new keyboard to a few friends like I just won the lottery.

Bye bye cardboard keys.

Down under really has nothing more interesting going on these days and who talks about swine flu anymore?

Got it feet as well, those rubber support under the laptop, cos I lost one recently but found it stuck to my clear folder so well, those that are on their way here shall be spare. Then my screen protector on my phone is peeling at the corner which annoys me to hell and back so I got it a new one too. Awaiting its arrival...

Shopping online is sinful. Especially when you don't see your money leaving your bank account. Geez.

So within an hour before studying last week I went Glennie and got my favourite boots' heels and soles fixed, waxed my eyebrows (they were ignored for an entire month I think and I didn't have the determination to tackle it myself LOL) and bought a seriously amusing egg slicer (LGZ and I are into sandwiches lately) and bought a hand sanitiser which was sold out in 2 pharmacies and I grabbed the last one in the 3rd. Swine flu really got everyone cleaning their hands.

Hahaha damn cute...!!!

Then I shopped briefly on Sat before church and grabbed this jacket I've been eyeing online and found it was 30% off (woot no1) and it was the last one (woot no2) and it was in my size(woot no3)!!!!! Credit goes to the LGZ for locating it before anyone else grabbed it. xD The rest of the purchases were random basic tops and I refrained from new shoes and various other pretty things that called out to me.

Funnily enough I recently saw the Shopaholic movie, so that taught me some self-control. 'Do you really need that?' and somehow I kept answering yes so uhhh. kidding. Didn't give in to temptations. *proud*

Random notes: Yummy burger in Carnegie, cheap chairs for $20 for work, and chocolate teddy biscuits my bro used to eat when he was a kid. Was feeling nostalgic. And they were cheap. And I needed munchies for Terminator 4.

Busyy busyyy...

Well, I'm back here to put in a few words again!!

I've been SOOOO busy this month, with work, with school work, with no time to rest, and no time to cook etc etc etc.

I think I've only been out twice, lol, damn no life, once to an Arabian restaurant, introduced by MJ and Mo, although we've been last year for shisha, this is the first time we had some as-authentic-as-we-get Arabian food. it wasn't too bad, but not quite what we're used to either.

We also met up with two girls we met from Blvd, Charlene and Luka. Trying to hook them up with Wei, more like hahahaha..!!!

Charlene, Luka.

I thought Charlene was pretty funny, Luka was a rather shy so didn't really get to talk to her. xD

So besides having a weekend seminar from 9-6pm, and work a few more days each week to cover Steph's being away on placement, I've been sleeping and resting and doing assignments in my spare time. Lost track of days, feeling fuzzy sometimes, and coffee isn't doing their job anymore.. :(

Not much of a weekend this week either, worked on Sat, group meeting on Sun, back to work and assignments this coming week.. Then exams. Gosh.

Sigh~

Munchies & coins

Well now....

My mom's blog is more popular than mine SOB! xD She just put in this blog counter and in 2 weeks she's got 600 hits. Must be a lot of starving homesick kids overseas whipping up awesome dishes using her blog eh? xD

I say that cos I'm doing that myself hehehe. I made otakotak yesterday. Turned out great!! Will make it again when I figure out how to debone the fish I totally forgot about it so the otakotak had fish bones in it. lol.

I made salmon pie too. Turned out great but need to improve the filling just a little but the pastry (not handmade, thanks to the world of instant stuff and improved cooking efficiency methods) and everything else turned out perfect. :) Funny how I made tang yuen with rice flour cos Coles doesn't have glutinouse rice flour and it turned out weird.

Remake this week. :P

Oh btw if you're a starving homesick kid away from home here's my mom's recipe blog:

Random coin fact... Kings and I paid 12 bucks for dinner in coins.. xD and a customer came in paying 49 dollars in coins.... @.@ that threw me off a little when I said, 'That'll be 49 dollars sir.' and he said, "Can I pay in coins?" and I went like whaa?? for all 49 dollars? and he said yea! and he took out a whole 4 fistfuls of dollar and 2-dollar coins. Took him 3 times to empty his pockets. And KH just told me he once paid 80 bucks for an electricity bills in coins. -____- wth. Which led me to Vin who once paid class fees to Mamak Tay in coins too just to piss her off. xD hahaha.

Since I last wrote... I ....

Went to a Jason Mraz concert with Sxxxx Mitchel (forgot her first name can't be bothered looking it up cos I thought she sucked) and Eric Hutchinson who worked the crowd real good but I found his album disappointing; he's much better live.

Loved the concert, Mraz was sooo good, like, I'm not exaggerating, I was just so amazed by his skills. He sounded ten times better live. :)

What a star...

Then I had dinner with my colleages, on the company's tab, since our sales were good :) Here're my Caulfy partners in crime now...

And I went clubbing at Boulevard with my mates sometime last month. :)

I had a tie cos it was uniform night, along with a plaid skirt lol.

More updates next time!! :)
